Steven Gidwaney played the character of Simo in the soap. He came as one of the vulnerable workers trapped in Ray and Celia’s illegal operation. They were forced into a modern-day slavery storyline. They were hidden and trapped in the latter half of 2025. Simo soon became an important part of Bear’s storyline. However, Ray killed Celis while Bear killed Ray.
Recently, the soap viewers saw him again. The trial screens were out this week. Simo appeared in the centre of a courtroom drama involving Bear, Paddy, and Dylan. Though he had promised Paddy that he would help Bear, he betrayed. Simo changed and disclosed that Bear was given special treatment. This led to the belief that he was aware of the drug dealer’s true motives.
This led to tension among the fans. They were confused over Simo’s actions. However, his role was important in shaping the outcome of the trial. The storyline has finished, and everyone is out of prison.
Steven Gidwaney Reveals What’s Next For Simo!
As the plot has wrapped, the soap star, Steven, who played Simo, has confirmed his exit. He took to social media and shared a heartfelt message. He shared pictures with his fellow stars, including Dominic Brunt, Andrew Scarborough and Fred Kettle. Steven wrote in the caption that it was an honour to play Simo. Furthermore, it was a privilege to be back. He also thanked his agents and soap team for giving him the opportunity.
He was thankful to Simon Ferguson and Matt Hilton, who are the directors of the show. Furthermore, Steven was grateful to Joshua Richards, Fred Kettle, Andrew Scarborough and Dominic Brunt.
