He accidentally killed him while giving him a medication, which led to side effects and eventually killed her. Then he disposed of his body in the lake.
Later, he framed Owen for the murder. John Sugden put the blame on Owen. He let him die and wrote a suicide note on his behalf that he killed him during an altercation. Meanwhile, in the recent episodes, John Sugden jumped off the gorge with Aaron Dingle. When Aaron woke up, he disclosed everything about John’s acts. The medic tried to flee. He hid in the Keeper’s Cottage. John decided to kill Robert, but canceled his plan and blackmailed Caleb Miligan. He told him to help him flee.
