Ian Burfield is officially entering the fictional world of Weatherfield to portray the long-lost father of mechanical specialist Tyronne Dobbs. Well, fans must be aware that the versatile actor has established a strong profile by portraying DCI Peter Arthurs in Walford.

Elsewhere, he has also been in several distinct dramatic roles on the classic police drama The Bill. Also, this introduction is happening three full years after Tyronne first found biological mother Cassie Plummer. She had originally arrived as the estranged daughter of Evelyn Plummer.
Actor Alan Halsall also praised the screen testing process with the new cast member saying, “I definitely recognised his face, but doing the screen tests with him really stood out. He’s a big, imposing chap, but he’s so laid back and calm. I’m really enjoying working with him and getting to know him off-screen, which is a bonus.”
