Charlie Loses A Family Member
Charlie Brooks said goodbye to her nanny recently. The actress even celebrated her grandmother’s 90th birthday. Meanwhile, Charlie revealed that Nan Jean had introduced her to her first professional show, Copacabana.
In fact for Charlie, her nanny was a fierce, independent woman who did things exactly her way. In one of the images that the actress posted, the pair were enjoying drinks together while on vacation. Another captures a quiet moment of her grandmother at home with a dog.
Charlie captioned the post saying, “We say goodbye to nanny Jean today. She took me to see my first ‘profesh’ show, Copacabana. She was a mum of 4 boys. She tap danced, and swam, travelled the world, had it large with me in Ibiza, was fiercely independent and did things exactly the way she wanted to do things. Ni fucks given. I’ll miss her. Today is a celebration of her 90 years. I’ll see you again one day Nan.”
Several co-stars and fans also reacted to the heartbreaking news. Kellie Bright who plays Linda Carter on the soap, wrote, “Sending you all the love.” Meanwhile, Lorraine Stanley shared, “Sending lots of love.” Elsewhere, several fans also paid respects, with one saying, “You were so lucky to have a nanny who you shared so much with, so many happy memories, she will always be by your side x.” Another wrote, “Sending love, sounds like she had a great life which is what we all want.”
Charlie Brook’s Final Stint On EastEnders
Charlie played Janine Butcher on the BBC soap. Janine had returned to Albert Square five years ago. She was initially focused on regaining her daughter, Scarlett’s, custody. However, her storyline became a manipulative battle for Mick Carter’s love.
To keep Mick for herself, Janine caused problems between him and his estranged wife, Linda Carter. She even framed Linda for a car accident that Janine had caused while driving drunk. Soon, she was successful in marrying Mick on Christmas Eve while pregnant with his child.
However, on Christmas Day, Scarlett exposed Janine’s lies. Later, she drove her car off a cliff into the sea with Linda inside. Hence, Mick ‘dived’ in to save them.
