Former Emmerdale Actor Daniel Coll Returns With A Yorkshire Stage Role!

Emmerdale former actor Daniel Coll is making a stage comeback with a play. The actor’s fans will be able to see him at the Theatre as he is a part of the play, Fishlake. Keep scrolling to get more insights!

Daniel Coll is known for playing the character of D.I. Blackmore in Emmerdale. Elsewhere, he has also made an appearance in Coronation Street, Billy Elliot the musical, Les Misérables, and Braveheart. Now the former soap star is returning to the stage in Fishlake.

It is a powerful and emotional production that reconnects him with the Yorkshire theatre roots. His stage return comes during the busy year of filming, writing, and producing projects through his company, Picture Point Films, based in Sheffield.

Meanwhile, the former Emmerdale star has recently returned from Ukraine and has finished two documentaries, including John Sweeney – Ukraine, Putin and Trump and Ordinary People: Ukraine. These documentaries reflect the courage of the people stuck in the war. Furthermore, Daniel Coll is also working on new film and TV projects, including upcoming collaborations with Toyah Willcox and Peter Andre. They will be filmed next year.

His recent play, Fishlake, was written by Jeremy Fletcher, who is a resident of the village. The 2019 floods affected his home. Fishlake reflects on how the River Don’s overflow submerged the entire village. It includes music, drama, real testimonies, and features both local voices and a community choir. Daniel said that he was grateful to play the role of David in his production.

The story is about the people who lost their families. It’s full of resilience, community, and humour.
