Kelvin Fletcher played the character of Andy Sugden in the soap. He was a part of the show for twenty years. The actor appeared in over 2000 episodes. However, he had to exit the soap in 2016 when he was wrongly accused of shooting Lawrence White by Chrissie White. Thus, he had to escape custody.

However, now the former soap actor runs a family farm in the Peak District with his wife, Liz Fletcher. They charge £1500 a week for a stay at Stag Cottage, and it is fully booked already. Thus, Kelvin pockets an extra £78000 a year for renting out a cottage. Furthermore, it has been renovated with luxury furnishings and also has a grand piano. Meanwhile, Kelvin Fletcher took to social media to share that the property was fully booked. They were taking bookings for 2027.

Furthermore, the couple has also made money from the shows on television, Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure and Fletchers’ Family Farm. The shows document their life. Meanwhile the actor earlier said that playing a role of the farmer on the soap didn’t prepare him for the realities of farming. After two decades, Kelvin exited the show to pursue an agricultural life on his farm.

The farm includes many animals such as sheep, pigs, goats, alpacas and their four kids. However, Kelvin claimed that the show didn’t provide him with a transferable skill set. He said that he used to love those scenes, but they were rarely about farming. He played the role of a farmer for twenty years, and now he is doing that. It is strange.

Furthermore, the former actor admitted that he and his wife are on a journey. They hadn’t planned this career for themselves. They are not experts but are enjoying farming. He added that they have got four children, 150 sheep, five goats, 36 pigs, and three alpacas.
