Former Emmerdale star Kelli Hollis is joining Coronation Street for a new storyline. And her arrival is directly connected to Debbie Webster’s dramatic prison storyline. Corrie has recently been showing Debbie in a serious light. And this twist is going to make her even more vulnerable. Read on for more details.

Kelli Hollis Joins Coronation Street As A New Prison Force Around Debbie Webster

The actress who left Emmerdale more than eleven years ago is returning to soap operas. She plans to skip Dales because she wants to visit another location. She joins Corrie to perform in a storyline which involves Debbie Webster’s time in prison. Hollis played Ali Spencer between 2011 and 2015. Hattie Hollis appeared in multiple TV shows after this. This included Ackley Bridge, Waterloo Road and Doctors.

However, she took a break from acting for a long time. And now, she is returning with Debbie’s complicated situation behind bars. Debbie is dealing with the consequences of her decisions. She had taken the blame for Billy Mayhew’s death. And she did this to protect her son Carl, who was responsible for the crash. He was the one who was behind the wheel during the Corriedale multi-vehicle crash.

However, for Debbie, her prison life becomes even harder. It’s because she reconnects with Lou Michaelis. She is the same Corrie villain she had crossed paths with on the outside. Farrel Hegarty is also returning to play Lou. Inside the women’s prison, Hollis is playing a central inmate.

People around her call her the “Queen Bee.” Also, Debbie will be forced to interact with her. Debbie will be meeting a whole new group of inmates. And Hollis’s character is at the centre of that. 

Debbie’s Harsh Adjustment Inside Prison 

Debbie’s time behind bars will become more complicated. She will be assigned a support buddy due to her early-onset dementia diagnosis. However, this pairing doesn’t land well on either side. Debbie isnt happy to see Lou in front og her. Also, Lou isnt pleased about it either. Both of them had loved different lives back on the cobbles.

CS/Debbie isn’t pleased to see Lou again.
