General Hospital Recap for July 02, 2026 closed the book on Port Charles’ twin reign of terror in blood. Josslyn took a bullet to the abdomen, then dragged herself to a gun and ended Cullum anyway. Across town, Sonny outplayed Sidwell and watched the police haul him away. Meanwhile, Cassius paid the ultimate price for his redemption run. And in France, Anna hid a chilling secret behind her freshly approved release.
Cassius Played Hero One Last Time
The imposter kept his promise after all. Cassius shot Agent Harker to save Carly, then armed her with a gun and the door code. Right after, he raced off to stop Cullum from escaping with the cold fusion device. Meanwhile, Liesl cut the power so the WSB agent hunting them could not shoot.

Once the coast cleared, Obrecht reopened the door to a stunned Josslyn. Carly stood there, ready for a rescue. Instead, Josslyn grabbed her mother’s gun and had Liesl lock Carly inside. That left Obrecht explaining the whole Cassius saga while Joss sprinted into danger.
General Hospital Recap: Cullum’s Gloating Cost Him Everything
The loading dock turned into a war zone. Cassius fired at Cullum and missed. Josslyn rushed to help and caught a bullet in the abdomen for it. Cullum then kicked the guns away and started his villain monologue over a wounded Cassius.

The confessions poured out. Cassius was his fall guy. Britt never had Huntington’s, just fake meds to keep her leashed. Worse, Cullum tricked Cassius into sending Britt fatal poison. Then he shot Cassius and turned to leave. Big mistake. Bleeding Josslyn scooted to a gun and seemingly ended Cullum for good.
Z Descended From the Sky as Bodies Cooled
A helicopter landed amid the carnage. Out stepped a mystery man, played by John Oliver, presumably Z himself. He checked Cassius’ pulse and offered no hope. Cullum got ignored entirely, which felt fitting. Then Z crouched beside fading Josslyn and promised help.

Elsewhere in the gallery storeroom, Ava fought to keep Ethan conscious. She mentioned Phoebe to keep him talking. Instead, Ethan muttered that Phoebe was not his daughter and passed out cold. That bombshell now hangs over everything.
General Hospital Recap: Sonny Won and Justine Sealed It With a Kiss
Sidwell demanded Sonny arrange a plane, with Justine as his airborne insurance policy. Sonny offered himself as the swap. Sidwell refused to fly with Marco’s “killer.” So Sonny dropped the truth. Cullum murdered Marco, and the rage that followed broke Sidwell’s focus completely.

Justine wrestled free during the struggle, and Sonny ended up holding the gun. He wanted this kill badly. However, Justine pleaded, and Sonny relented as the police arrived. Sidwell got arrested, and Justine thanked Sonny with a passionate kiss. Over at the Quartermaine stables, Molly lifted James’ spirits while Tracy assured Cody he handled the “Nathan” goodbye right.
Anna’s Release Hid a Terrifying Lie
In France, Felicia confirmed Anna’s Cassius theory was true all along. Her doctor loved the progress and approved her release for tomorrow. Victory, right? Not quite. Once alone, Anna saw Peter’s ghost and wondered aloud if everyone bought her act. The hallucinations never stopped. Anna is coming home with a broken mind and a perfect mask.

General Hospital Recap for July 02, 2026 buried the Cullum and Sidwell era under bullets and lies. Josslyn’s survival hangs in the balance while Ethan’s paternity mutter and Britt’s poison truth demand answers. Anna’s secret hallucinations may be the scariest loose end of all. Cassius died proving Liesl right about his heart. Check back with Soap Opera Daily to see whether Josslyn pulls through and who Phoebe’s real father turns out to be.
