General Hospital Recap for May 22, 2026 turned Port Charles upside down on Friday. Rocco took matters into his own hands and disappeared with someone nobody expected. Nina stood over Jack with a syringe and made a decision that could haunt her. Britt handed Sonny exactly what he needed to go after Sidwell. And Lulu’s carefully arranged escape plan collapsed the moment she walked through her own front door.

Willow Delivers for Anna, Nina Makes Her Choice

At the hospital, Willow and Nina talked quietly about what still needed to be done. Nina had another injection ready for Jack. Getting to these men was never going to be easy, but both women agreed they had no choice. Willow then found Felicia and delivered news the family had been desperately waiting for. The charges against Anna had been dropped entirely. No maximum security transfer. Anna would stay at her current clinic and come home once doctors cleared her. Felicia was overwhelmed with relief.

Willow admitted to Felicia that serving in Congress had become the most meaningful thing she had ever done. For once, she felt genuinely in control. That moment of clarity, however, got interrupted fast. Cullum appeared and introduced himself to Willow, then asked whether either of them knew where Rocco was. Willow held her composure. Meanwhile, Nina finally got into Jack’s room after Cullum stepped out. She asked Jack to blink once for yes and twice for no if Cullum had threatened him. Instead, Jack spoke. Weakly, but clearly. “Takes too long.” Nina cried. She never expected him to speak so soon. She pulled out the next syringe, held it for a moment and then dropped it into the sharps container. No more doses. Not today.

General Hospital Recap: Rocco Pushes Britt Into a Corner

Rocco showed up at Britt’s office and refused to leave without her. Britt told him Cullum was closing in fast and that his parents needed to get him out of Port Charles immediately. Rocco had other ideas. He pulled out the fake passport his mother had arranged for him and told Britt he wanted to go with her. Britt said no. She had months left without her medication. She could not protect him in the condition she would be in. Rocco did not flinch. He told her he knew what she had done to his parents was wrong, but he believed she had changed. He said she brought him into this world, and he wanted to be there when she left it. Britt finally said yes, but made him promise to contact his family the moment she was gone. He agreed.

Liz knocked on the door seconds later. Britt covered smoothly, claiming Rocco was there about a shadowing application. She sent Rocco ahead to her car with her keys. Once alone with Liz, Britt grabbed her the moment Liz spotted the fake passport Rocco had left behind. Dante eventually found Liz locked in the office closet. She told him everything. Britt and Rocco were already gone.

Laura Gives Her Blessing, Lulu’s Plan Falls Apart

In the park, Lulu and Ethan were finalizing the escape plan when Laura called and demanded to meet immediately. She arrived, took one look at the situation and surprised everyone. She told Lulu that if leaving was the right call, she had her blessing. No questions. She asked Lulu to leave Charlotte behind rather than uproot her again and asked Ethan to watch over his sister. Ethan gave his word. Laura told him that sounded exactly like something Luke would have said.

Laura then headed to Sonny’s restaurant, crossing paths with Ric on his way out. She thanked Ric for defending Rocco against Dalton, admitting she had not done so herself at the time. Once alone with Sonny, Laura suggested it was time to put Sidwell and Dalton behind them for good. Sonny agreed. Back at Lulu’s house, she and Ethan returned to find Rocco gone. His bag was open. The passport was missing. Lulu called Dante in a panic, cutting off his own call to Sonny. Rocco had found the passport and vanished. Lulu broke down, telling Ethan she thought she was protecting her son. Instead, she had handed him a way to disappear.

General Hospital Recap: Sonny Gets What He Needs to Finish This

At Sonny’s restaurant, Ric filled him in on Sidwell’s latest moves. Sonny revealed that Sidwell was using Deception as a cover to ship something significant. His endgame was getting close. Ric pushed for elimination. Sonny held back, pointing out that Sidwell was already spread thin and destabilized. Better to push him into making a mistake and take him down cleanly. Smart thinking, as always.

Meanwhile, Dante and fake Nathan clashed hard in his office. Nathan told Dante that Cullum would do far worse to Rocco than he did to Jason if he found out the boy shot him. He pushed Dante to use his father’s connections to get Rocco out of town safely. Dante resisted, citing his role as commissioner. Nathan did not let up. “Consider what’s worse,” he said. “Losing your job or mourning your son.” Dante sat alone after Nathan left, picked up his phone to call Sonny and got cut off by Lulu’s frantic call instead. The pieces were all moving at once. And then Britt called Sonny directly. She told him Sidwell had killed Henry Dalton and that Pascal helped cover it up. Sonny now had exactly what he needed.

Molly also stopped by the hospital with Kristina, attending her final appointment after her procedure. Cody was tied up, but Molly was simply glad to have it behind her. She thanked Kristina for pushing her toward Cody and for submitting her manuscript. Kristina, she said, had genuinely changed her life.
