When existing characters suddenly start talking about a faded one, as soap fans we all know what it means! General Hospital spoilers recall that off-late, there have been many mentions of a certain Karen Wexler. For the uninitiated, she is, or was, Scotty’s daughter! But with all the Karen mentions, we think we better strike the “was” off, because she could be returning!
Yup, we have a feeling that GH could be foreshadowing a possible return from the dead for the character. General Hospital Spoilers recall that she “died” in a car crash back in 2003, in GH’s spinoff Port Charles. But, we all know the dead barely ever remain dead in the Soapverse. So, if the makers want Karen back, she will come right back to life!
In fact, there would be no more timing than now! Especially with John “Jagger” Cates back in town! General Hospital Spoilers recall that the two were a couple back in the day. But then Sonny spelled trouble when he recruited Karen to work as a stripper at his nightclub.
Interestingly, Karen’s OG portrayer, actress Cari Shayne, is all willing to jump back into the role, if the makers offered it to her! In a recent chat with Soap Hub, the actress spilled that back in the day she left the soap because she had a mental breakdown. General Hospital spoilers recall that her story did get very dark on the soap.
Cari pointed that to be able to portray such a dark storyline, it required her to really live in it, and that started to take a toll on her. She just couldn’t handle it anymore and needed to leave. After her exit from GH, she became a labor and delivery nurse. However, she is now willing to return to acting, if the makers offer her Karen again!
