The GH fanbase, especially, that of SPRINA was hit hard when news broke out that actor Nicholas Chavez won’t return, recall General Hospital spoilers. In January, the makers wrote in a twist of Spencer drowning along with Esme, to allow the actor a break from the soap. One he needed to accommodate filming for his Netflix anthology – Monsters.
However, back then it was everyone’s belief that he would return to reprise Spencer once the filming was done, point General Hospital spoilers. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Recently, news slipped through the cracks that Nicholas Alexander Chavez was out of the soap for good.
Now, the star himself has confirmed the news on his official X account. He wrote a long appreciation post about his time on GH, his rapport with Frank Valentini and the gratitude he feels for the opportunity and the love he has received from his fans.
“I’m so appreciative of the opportunity that GH gave me, and I wouldn’t be as busy as I am professionally if it weren’t for the talented producers, writers, directors and fellow actors,” he pointed. General Hospital spoilers point that Nicholas also stated that Frank and he have had extensive conversations about his future on GH, and as of now he has no plans to return.
But-but-but, here’s the big twist! Nicholas asserted that “we are still talking very openly about future possibilities for Spencer in Port Charles.” So, his exit may not be as permanent as we were dreading it to be. But then there is no such thing as ” Permanent” in soapverse, tease General Hospital Spoilers.
Furthermore, he also took a moment to thank his and GH’s fanbase for their love and support. Calling them “THE most loyal and kind fan base in the universe of entertainment.” Honestly, we do know that the possibility of his return is very bleak. Yet the little string of hope that he has offered his fandom will go a long way in bringing some relief.
We wish Nicholas Alexander Chavez all the best for all his upcoming projects. Yet, we hope that some day soon, he will return to Port Charles as our beloved Spencer! Until then stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more General Hospital spoilers and updates.

Recast Spencer!! Alexander duped all of us saying he was coming back, but he decided he is “to good” to play a character in daytime tv. Screw him. Bring back Cam!!!! Or anyone one else!!!!
