General Hospital Spoilers spilled a shocker by revealing that Michael Corinthos is set for an exit in early 2025. The update came hot on the heels of the confirmation that Chad Duell has stepped down from the ABC soap. The sudser’s exec, Frank Valentini, also confirmed the news by penning a heartfelt note on his social media acknowledging that Chad is indeed exiting. Moreover, he also addressed that the production is currently not looking at recasting the role. Thus, we can safely assume that the makers are writing off the character.
However, there is no news as of now regarding how Michael Carinthos will fall off the canvas. What we do know is that Michael is currently going through a personal upheaval. He recently found out about Willow and Drew’s hookups. Following that, he ended up in bed with Sasha, which very well may have led to her pregnancy. Currently, Michael is scheming with Curtis Ashford to plot Drew Cain’s downfall. So, there is a possibility that Mikey’s exit will somehow link to the aforementioned mess.
Chad Duell has been part of the GH family for a long time, and we will sorely miss seeing him. Just as much as all the characters will miss Michael on-screen. General Hospital Spoilers tease that often when a major character exits, either a new one debuts or someone from the past returns. Considering Carly and Sonny will be left sans their son, could the makers give them another lost one back?
A Major Comeback!
Not too long ago, we saw Bryan Craig return to the soap in a guest capacity to reprise Morgan Corinthos as part of Sonny’s hallucinations. The fans highly revered the return, and they were left wanting more. So, it won’t really be too outlandish to think that maybe the makers would consider bringing Bryan back as Morgan for a longer stint. Yey, we know that he was presumed deceased in a car explosion. But attention on the word “presumed.”
Besides, even if it was a concrete passing, this wouldn’t be the first time for a soap to bring someone back from the grave, or tweak the history just a little bit to fit the new narrative. It would be so exciting to have Morgan back on the show.
Even if Bryan Craig is not available for a full-time return, the makers could consider a recast. It wouldn’t be the first time GH recasts a major character. So, what’s your take on it?
