Thursday’s episode of Coronation Street hinted that Ryan could still care about Leanne in more than just a friendly way. Ryan and Leanne shared a one-night stand last year when Leanne was going through a very difficult time.
She was heartbroken after finding out that Nick Tilsley had been having an affair with her sister, Toyah. Although there seemed to be a chance for Ryan and Leanne to become a couple, nothing happened after that and they both moved on.
Now, Leanne has started getting close to Idris Nazir. But Ryan’s latest actions have made fans wonder if he has really forgotten about her.
Leanne Enjoys A Day Out With Idris
Earlier in the episode, Leanne bumped into Idris, who invited her out for lunch. During their time together, she opened up about her worries for Sam Blakeman.
Earlier that day, Nick had said they should not tell Sam that Will had changed his testimony in Megan Walsh’s trial.
However, Leanne felt they could not keep hiding the truth from him for much longer. Idris listened to everything she had to say and tried to cheer her up. He suggested they relax together at the spa in Debbie Webster’s hotel. While they were there, Idris asked if they should stay the night, and Leanne happily agreed.
When they reached the hotel reception, Ryan was there. He started asking Idris questions about the booking and explained that he was only looking out for Leanne. “Look, what you do is your business, mate, but I know Leanne, that’s all,” Ryan began. “She’s sort of a mate, and she’s gone through a lot lately, so…”
Idris Thinks Ryan Is Jealous In Coronation Street
Idris was not convinced by Ryan’s explanation. He interrupted him and said Ryan sounded “a bit jealous.” Ryan stayed calm and replied that he was only trying to protect Leanne.
Idris quickly shut that down. “Aw. Well, you don’t need to cause she’s with me,” he replied smugly before asking Ryan once again to book them a room. Ryan completed the booking with a smile that did not seem genuine.
His reaction has now made fans question whether he still has romantic feelings for Leanne or if he was simply acting like a caring friend. The latest scenes have certainly opened the door for Coronation Street to revisit their unexpected romance.
