When Cash travels to the city for a conduct hearing involving Richie, Eden gets space to evaluate alternative options to prevent pregnancy. Later, she even schedules an appointment regarding surgical sterilisation. However, Abigail is hesitant and highlights the absolute finality of the treatment.
Even though Eden is defensive, she contacts Cash and promises she won’t make any hasty choices before mutual discussion. However, the consultation goes terribly when the physician dismisses the request due to age restrictions. When he seeks comfort from Remi, he strongly pushes for open communication.
Later, she unburdens herself to Cash about the medical rejection but soon pitches a different solution. Since Eden knows that a vasectomy is less intrusive she questions whether Cash would undergo the minor surgery. But Cash immediately exits the conversation by lying that he needs to check in at the local law enforcement building.
Cash Confesses His True Desires
Later, Cash’s lies are caught when Eden visits the station. She discovers from Constable Lombard that her husband lied about being rostered on for duty. Soon, Cash actually decamps to Salt to clear his head with Justin. He confesses that he wanted to avoid the topic because a mutual agreement feels impossible.
That’s when Justin highlights that running away will not solve anything. He also urges Cash to voice his personal desires rather than hiding from the problem. The next day, Cash apologises for disappearing and explains that the past few hours were spent driving around to gain clarity.
He clearly states that he doesnt want one and formally declines the operation. Cash further explains that a marriage requires cooperative decision-making. But the argument with Eden worsened when he mentioned past life changes. He highlights how Eden previously ended an estrangement with Levi and Jimmy.
Later, she weeps to Remi about the massive divide and then confronts Cash. She wants to know whether their relationship can survive this gridlock.
