Leah Patterson reaches a heartbreaking turning point on Home and Away next week, and the fallout could drive her out of Summer Bay. Months of grief and unresolved tension after Theo’s death have pushed Leah and Justin’s marriage to the brink.
Now, after a series of painful confrontations, Leah decides she may need to leave the Bay entirely. However, Justin’s sudden change of heart leads to a final ultimatum that could end their marriage for good.
Grief And Distance Tear Justin And Leah Apart
Justin and Leah’s relationship has struggled ever since Theo’s devastating death. Leah found it impossible to process her grief and slowly began shutting Justin out. Instead, she leaned heavily on Theo’s friend Sonny and started treating him almost like a surrogate nephew.
While Leah saw comfort in the connection, Sonny felt uneasy and Justin grew increasingly frustrated as he watched his wife turn to someone else for support.
Meanwhile, Justin tried to help Leah move forward by suggesting counselling and attempting to reconnect with her. However, every conversation between them quickly broke down. Leah believed Justin was pressuring her to move on and pretend Theo had never existed.

Following a crash that left Justin in hospital, Leah rushed there, determined to repair their relationship. Unfortunately, Justin rejected her attempt and told her to leave.
Even after he was discharged, he refused to return home and instead stayed with Alf and Marilyn at Summer Bay House. Their attempts to talk continued to fail, and eventually Justin admitted he no longer wanted to stay in the marriage.
Leah pleaded with him to reconsider and insisted they could still fix things if they kept communicating. Justin disagreed, saying they had only grown further apart since Theo’s death.
When Leah later tried to explain her visit to Sonny at the hospital, Justin told her the real issue between them was the breakdown of trust. Faced with that reality, Leah finally accepted their marriage might never recover and said she would stop fighting for it.
Leah Plans To Leave As Justin Issues A Final Ultimatum in Home and Away
Next week the situation escalates when Leah runs into Justin at David’s house. Later she confides in David that every conversation between them turns into another argument.
Because Summer Bay is such a small town, avoiding each other is impossible, and that realization pushes Leah toward a life-changing decision. At the diner she tells Marilyn she wants to promote her to manager since she will need extra support while she makes major changes in her life.
Soon after, Leah tells Justin she plans to leave Summer Bay for a while so he can move back home. She explains that she intends to travel to Cyprus to visit VJ. Justin reacts with disbelief, but Leah reminds him that he was the one who said he no longer wanted to be part of their marriage. When Alf hears the news, he confronts Justin and demands to know what he expected after declaring the marriage over.
Justin finally admits he spoke out of anger and frustration and insists he still loves Leah. Determined to fix things, Justin rushes to stop her and pleads with her not to leave. However, Leah refuses to ignore what he said and believes time apart is the only solution. As the taxi arrives, Justin delivers a final warning.
