Home and Away: Sophea and Matt Are Dating!
Home and Away debutant Sophea is dating her co-star Matt Evans, and we can’t handle how cute they are! On the show, Lacey is associated with the River Boys and is the girlfriend of their leader, Gage. The character first feels like she belongs with Gage, but that changes when she meets Theo.
The two immediately click and start a sneaky romance. This blossoming love affair has struck a chord with viewers, and that even translated into Sophea and Matt’s lives. Off-screen, they are officially an item, and Pennington gushed over their relationship while speaking to The Post.
She shared, “He’s [Matt] such a lovely guy and a great person to work with, extremely talented.” Additionally, Sophea admitted that she couldn’t have asked for a better colleague. But do you know there were whispers in the town before the duo confirmed it? The H&A actress cleared the air in the most wholesome way possible.
“Yes, we are dating in real life. He really is the best. And it works, I guess chemistry’s chemistry,” she said. But beyond these cozy confessions, there’s also a deeper level to their off-screen connection. Moroever, it is what’s making their work even stronger.

On the flip side, Matt Evans recently hinted that his time in the Bay might not be forever. Yep, “He won’t be on Home and Away forever,” he teased, implying Theo could be leaving the soap soon. Additionally, Evans has big dreams to chase in the US, whether acting, music, or both.
