A Devastating Setback For Remi
Remi wants to get back on his motorbike after having his license reinstated. However, Eden doesn’t want him to take risks. Despite this, Remi insists that he is improving. He also refuses to let his diagnosis sideline him. But reality hits home when he freezes on the bike. And soon, he felt fear of having a seizure while riding.
Later, Remi collapses on the lawn during a quiet moment with Sonny. But he downplays the incident, refusing initial help. And soon he is taken to the hospital. That’s when it’s revealed that the radiotherapy isn’t stopping the tumour’s growth. Since his situation has now become critical, Remi is introduced to Dr. Cindy Swan. Cindy is a direct neurosurgeon who tells him that high-risk surgery is the only remaining path forward.
Sonny Falls From His Wheelchair In Home and Away
Dr Swan soon drops a bombshell. She suggests that Remi should undergo an awake craniotomy. And then the surgical team can monitor his brain function in real time to minimise permanent damage. But Remi is terrified after hearing this prospect.
But we know that the tumour is spreading quickly. Hence, the specialist warns him that he doesn’t have the luxury of time. Elsewhere, Sonny tries desperately to reach the collapsed Remi. However, he falls from his wheelchair. Despite this he drags himself across the grass. Also, while he was struggling he experienced a momentary sensation in his leg. Soon, Cash helps Sonny to sit back into his chair. Later, using Cash’s phone, Sonny calls an ambulance.
Later, Levi even checked Sonny, and it was inconclusive. But Sonny began to wonder whether a breakthrough in his paralysis is finally possible.
