Home and Away: Sarah Gets Real About Her Break Up
On Stellar’s Something to Talk About podcast, the Home and Away actress opened up about her split. The fallout was public, and the headlines nearly crushed her spirit. Moreover, Sarah weighed in on how it felt to deal with it in the spotlight and all the media coverage that followed.
But our girl has fallen in love with a new man who allows her to grow in beautiful and unexpected ways. “I’m so in love. I finally found myself, as clichéd as that may sound,” she revealed. Back to her past split, it wasn’t easy to cope with. “It absolutely ripped my heart into a million little pieces,” she confessed.
But even through the heartbreak, Roberts realized that she can’t change anyone else’s actions or how people behave. She added, “What I can take responsibility for is the way that I feel.” The biggest enlightenment? The H&A alum realized that people who are hurt end up inflicting the same pain on others.
But healed people have the ability to heal people. Sarah said, “I’m happy with where I’m at today. I’ve finally found a love for myself that I didn’t have.”
Roberts Still Stays in Touch With H&A Fam
After all, Roberts did herself dirty by staying in something that wasn’t healthy. Preach! Meanwhile, she is still tight with her soap family. Back in February, she told Daily Mail Australia, “One of my best friends was one of my cast mates on Neighbours.” Their friendship goes way back.
Another of Sarah’s friends, Emily Weir, is from Home & Away. And when the ex-star throws a party, she really throws a party. “I’ve also made friends with a lot of the new cast from H&A because Emily is friends with them,” she revealed. On her 40th birthday, Roberts threw a bash on a boat in Sydney Harbour.
“I get close to people and really value my friendships,” she added. FYI, the former soap star isn’t slowing down. While her soap days may be behind her, she’s gearing up for her Hollywood dreams. The star’s next dream would be to book a television show where she acts for five years. Nope, not a soap!
