Home and Away favourite Sonny finally crosses the line during a frantic recovery bid. The obsessed character will face a tense police interrogation after he forced his way into the gym overnight to ‘squeeze’ in an extra workout.
And as expected, suspicious officers instantly link his reckless actions to a nearby surf club robbery. Meanwhile, here is how the dramatic fitness obsession unfolds next week.
Sonny Is Caught Red-Handed After A Burglary Investigation
Sonny desperately rushes to recover from a train crash, but it lands the injured resident in trouble with the law. The trouble kicks off when David investigates a series of local thefts, including a broken lock and a missing generator at the surf club garage.
Soon, we will see that the drama moves to the gym when Lacey notices the front door is already ajar. She fears that a burglar is still inside and quickly alerts David, who enters the building only to find Sonny exercising completely alone.
When David questions him about the forced entry, the startled lifter downplays the crime. However, when Lacey points out the truth, it leads to an official police station interrogation. But Sonny strongly denies stealing the surf club equipment.
He insists that staying behind to work out while needing a crutch makes no sense for a thief. Despite his claims, he refuses to get a ‘fingerprint’ test. Later, Remi rushes to the station to defend his best friend and explains that his desire for rehabilitation has clouded Sonny’s judgment. Luckily, there was a lack of evidence, David released him but warned him that any future damage would lead to criminal charges.
Remi Blocks A Dangerous Workout Session In Home and Away
Even after narrowly escaping a criminal record, it absolutely does nothing to cool the hyper-focused rehab obsession. When Remi returns to the fitness facility later that afternoon, he catches Sonny walking right back inside to lift heavy weights without supervision.
The two have a heated clash over a failure to follow the strict rest periods in Tane’s workout programme. Later, the club owner, John, threatens a permanent ban on Sonny over a failure of a duty of care. And that’s when he tries to storm away but slips on the crutches.
Soon, Sonny confesses his mistake that he is pushing too hard. However, the apology wasnt enough to impress Remi. Elsewhere, the ongoing dispute is interrupted by Dana. She demands answers after hearing about the police investigation.
