A Familiar Face With A Long Television Journey
Rachael Carpani joined Home and Away last year as Claudia Salini, stepping into the long-running soap with a character that quickly slotted into the drama of Summer Bay.
Her appearance marked another chapter in a career that had already earned her industry recognition and a loyal fan following. Before her stint on Home and Away, Carpani was best known for her work on McLeod’s Daughters, where she starred between 2001 and 2009 and received two Logie Award nominations.
The role helped establish her as a strong presence in Australian television and opened doors to further projects. Over the years, she also appeared in international and local productions including NCIS: Los Angeles, True Blue, All Saints and Scorched. She built a body of work that showcased her range and consistency as an actor. It has now been confirmed that Rachael Carpani has died unexpectedly at the age of 45. Her sister Georgia shared the news in an Instagram post, explaining that Carpani passed away earlier this month.
She had passed away after a long battle with chronic illness in the early hours of Sunday, 7 December. They also requested privacy during this extremely difficult time and said they would not be making any further statements.
