By Roy

Next week on Home and Away, Summer Bay reels after Theo is struck in a shocking hit-and-run that shocks the entire community. As the truth about the crash begins to unfold, guilt, panic, and heartbreak ripple through the families involved but when Leah tries to make sense of the night, she’s hit with a bombshell she never expected and it turns her world upside down all over again.

Lacey Corners Wendell and Theo Pays the Price

Lacey’s push to uncover the truth about her mum Kristina’s death finally forced Councillor Wendell into admitting he caused the crash. He promised to hand himself in, but everything took a terrifying turn when he got back in his car and drove straight at Lacey. Theo jumped in to save her, shoving her aside and taking the full impact as Wendell sped off. When the episodes pick up, Justin and Leah have only just returned from Cash and Eden’s wedding when Constable Bowman shows up looking specifically for Leah.

Meanwhile at the crash scene on Waratah Drive, David leads his team while trying to support a shocked Lacey. Moments later, Leah arrives in a police car, distraught and desperate for answers. David tries to hold her back, but she sees the body bag being loaded into the private ambulance and breaks down in horror. At the station, Lacey sits in silence until David mentions Wendell’s name. With Wendell officially recorded as responsible for Theo’s death, David begins the urgent hunt to track him down.

Leah Turns on Lacey in Home and Away

Back home, Leah spirals into guilt, replaying her final argument with Theo and wishing she could take it all back. Alf and Marilyn visit to comfort her, but when Alf gently suggests Lacey isn’t to blame, Leah lashes out, telling him he doesn’t understand because he hasn’t lost someone.

Lacey, desperate for Leah to know Theo died protecting her, insists on visiting despite David’s warning. The moment she enters the house, Leah’s heartbreak erupts. She accuses Lacey of bringing trouble into Theo’s life and blames her directly for his death.

Afterwards, Justin tries to calm her, but Leah clings onto one last hope, she never saw Theo with her own eyes, so maybe this is all a mistake. Lacey, shaken to her core, returns to the station. When word comes through that Wendell hasn’t arrived at work, urgency rises again, but David refuses to leave Lacey alone and calls Jo to pick her up.

Leah becomes fixated on identifying Theo’s body herself. Justin checks with David, who explains the coroner hasn’t released the body yet and no visitors are allowed. Afraid Leah will spiral further, Justin brings Bree in to help, but when they return home, Leah is gone.

Home and Away: Cassandra Arrives and the Everything Worsens

Leah heads to Yabbie Creek and runs into Jo and Lacey. She lashes out again, demanding Lacey’s arrest. David steps in, reminding her Wendell is the guilty one, the same man who killed his wife. When Leah begs to see Theo to know the truth, David gently explains she isn’t the next of kin. He reveals Theo’s mother Cassandra has already identified the body. Back in the Bay, Leah breaks down, devastated that the years she spent caring for Theo hold no official weight.

HAA/ Leah can’t take it anymore

Bree walks her home, reassuring her through the shock. Leah becomes tense when she realises Justin asked Bree to check on her. But Bree later tells Justin that Leah’s not relapsing; she’s grieving. Later, Cassandra arrives at Justin and Leah’s home. Their emotional hug makes Theo’s loss feel even heavier. Cassandra says she came to collect Theo’s belongings. But Leah explains he had moved out some time ago. Cassandra suddenly realises how much she didn’t know about his life.

Cassandra admits she only knew a little about Lacey, so Leah fills in the details; how their relationship began and the drama with the illegal street racing. She is visibly hurt she was kept in the dark. When Justin gently reminds her Theo was an adult, Leah’s anger rises again, and she repeats that Lacey is responsible for the tragedy. Cassandra and Leah later meet David at the station. He calmly explains what happened the night Theo died, but Leah’s emotional outbursts keep interrupting.

HAA/ Cassandra steps in

Cassandra eventually asks her to step outside so she can understand the full sequence. Once Cassandra hears everything, she turns on Leah, upset that Theo died while living under her roof. Leah immediately assumes David criticised her to protect Lacey, but Cassandra cuts her off. She says David is trying to bring her son’s killer to justice, while Leah keeps attacking him instead of facing what truly happened. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for every Home and Away update.
