Ben Mitchell is finally heading back to EastEnders, but it is not going to be an easy homecoming. How did he manage to make the journey from the States, and what happens when he faces Callum again? Keep scrolling to know more.

Ben’s Shocking Journey Back To The Square

It has been months since Ben was last seen in Albert Square. We all know his storyline took a dark turn when he was arrested for fraud in the US. At that time, he had been desperately trying to help Lola Pearce. She was the mother of his daughter, Lexi. And she was battling a brain tumour. And to find medical treatment options overseas, he made some bad choices.

Ben used somebody else’s credit card. And eventually he was caught. He was then extradited to the United States. And it was when he left his family behind. Also, his relationship with his husband, Callum Highway, became strained. Now, the BBC soap is finally bringing him back. He will return to London for a short time in the upcoming episodes. But he is still serving his sentence and has returned in handcuffs.

Here, the twist is that Ben has been transferred from an American prison to a UK facility. He cooperated with the authorities. He also informed about the illegal activities carried out in the US prison. And this deal gave him the chance of a day’s release. The first thing he wants to do is attend Callum’s father, Jonno’s, funeral.

Callum’s Secret Affair Comes To Light In EastEnders

Callum’s past with his father was a painful one. It is difficult to handle his complicated feelings. However, things soon turn worse when Kathy catches Callum kissing Johnny Carter red-handed. She then gathers the entire Mitchell family. And they are all ready to confront Callum over his betrayal.

Phil, Kathy, Ian, Harvey and Honey all seek answers from Callum. However, Callum soon pushes back. He reminds them how, after Ben’s prison, he was the one who raised Lexi all alone. He was the one who tried to keep everything normal for their daughter. Callum also opens up about his loneliness. And when he needed the support, none stood by him. It was only Johnny who understood and supported him.

However, they want Callum himself to confess everything to Ben. However, nobody expected Ben to arrive at Walford for Jonno’s funeral. Will Ben finally realise Callum’s true feelings? For more EastEnders spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
