The Princess of Wales is slowly returning to the spotlight as she recovers from cancer. As of now Kate’s main focus is her health and her family she builds up her strength. As per Kensington Palace, her royal duties calendar for the upcoming year will depend on doctors advice. We recently saw Kate stepping out alongside her family to host her annual Christmas Carol service. But she isn’t rushing to her previous routine.
While speaking to the People Magazine, one of Kate’s friends said, “She is focused on herself and her family right now, rightly.” Even though she has not fully recovered, each time we all see her, she’s looking better and better. Along with the Christmas service, Kate Middleton accompanied her husband Prince William to welcome the Amir of Qatar for a royal visit to the UK.
All of these appearances are a slow and steady signal of the Princess returning to duties. The friend also told the publication that the mother of two “is not back to normal.” But there is “light at the end of the tunnel.” Furthermore, royal fans might remember Kate talking about her recovery journey in the video where she announced the end of her chemotherapy. She remained cautious and said, “The cancer journey is complex, scary. The path to healing and full recovery is long. I must continue to take each day as it comes.”
