Kate Middleton Misses Royal Family’s Reception!
The royal family hosted their annual diplomatic reception on November 18. The event was held at Windsor Castle for the first time since 2001. King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by Prince William. However, Kate Middleton was absent.
Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace said in the statement that the King, Queen, and Prince of Wales were hosting a reception for the members of the Diplomatic Corps at Windsor Castle.
The annual reception celebrated the Diplomatic Corps in London. Many diplomatic representatives from across the world attended the event. The royal family dressed in their finest evening wear. Furthermore, the royal women carried their tiaras.
Queen Camilla wore the tiara worn by Princess Eugenie on her wedding day. It is a Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara. It contains emeralds and was made by Boucheron for Margaret Greville.
The Event Was Held At A Different Place!
Kensington Palace did not give a reason for Kate’s absence. Earlier in the day, she spent more than two hours at a Summit in London for early years work in London where she gave her first public speech in two years.
The Princess has rarely missed attending the event. She made her debut in 2013. Last year Kate wasn’t present because of her chemotherapy treatment. However, the Princess of Wales made an appearance in 2022 and 2023.
Elsewhere, the reception didn’t take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID pandemic. Kate Middleton made her presence each year from 2015 to 2019. In 2014, the Wales couple missed the reception.
