Also, the cocker spaniel celebrated his first birthday on May 1. After which, Kate and William posted a sweet message on social media to ‘celebrate’ this milestone.
Elsewhere, Otto is the son of the family’s black cocker spaniel, Orla. In fact, it was one of a little of four puppies born last May. Also, Otto has been introduced after a busy week of celebrations for the Wales family. This also includes Kate and William’s 15th wedding anniversary on April 29.
To celebrate this occasion, William and Kate also released a never-before-seen family photo which had all three children: George, Charlotte and Louis. The kids were seen relaxing in the Cornish countryside. That’s when, in the intimate, barefoot snapshot, Otto made his royal debut alongside his mother, Orla.
Even fans were quick to react to the new addition, with one user saying, “Well, Otto certainly won the family lotto.” Also royal observers have seen the couple’s love for cocker spaniels. It has been a tradition that began with their first dog, Lupo, who was a wedding gift fifteen years ago.
The Royal’s Growing Family
After Lupo passed away, Catherine’s brother gifted the family Orla. And since then, the dog has been a staple in royal portraits. In fact, even fans think that the Princess has been incredibly the way she balances formal duties with her role as a dedicated dog mum and parent.

Also, Princess Charlotte will be turning 11 today. Hence, this month will be a significant celebration period for the future monarchs. And the children are also growing old, with Prince Louis turning eight. So, the inclusion of pets helps to maintain normalcy in their upbringing. Meanwhile, did you like the new puppy’s name?
