EastEnders fans were delighted when Libby Fox returned to Walford after a decade. But the returnee soon clashes with her sister and secretly steals a ‘one-thousand-pound’ cheque sent by serial killer Gray Atkins’ relatives.
But the main question is: Has Libby returned for a brief stint or a permanent one? Scroll down to see what the producers have to say about the same.
Sibling Reunion Takes A Dark Turn Over Secret Letters From Gray Atkins
Libby arrived after Chelsea Fox reached out to her after Denise’s devastating blood cancer diagnosis. The daughter returns to the Square to support her mother. But EE is known for dramas to welcome returning characters; well, that’s what happens in the Fox household.
The reunion takes a dramatic turn when the siblings clash over a hidden package involving Jordan Fox. A stressed Chelsea confessed that she had been receiving letters sent on behalf of her hospitalised son from the relatives of her abusive ex-husband.

Chelsea is terrified of her past domestic trauma and she says, “I can’t have that man know anything about my son. Not even indirectly, because Gray is evil, Libby.”
Soon, an urgent phone call from the hospital distracts her. That’s when the returning character secretly pockets the enclosed birthday card and a one-thousand-pound cheque. In fact, Viewers wonder if she is hiding a dark secret of her own.
Belinda Owusu Expresses Massive Joy Over EastEnders Homecoming Stint
After being away from a regular filming schedule for nearly 10 years, Belina has been totally thrilled about coming back to her iconic role. She was recently talking about the experience of returning to the Elstree sets.
The star added, “I am beyond thrilled to be back on the Square. Getting the Foxes back together has been such a joy, full of fun and nostalgia! It’s been 20 years since I first joined, so coming back has been like returning home!”

Belina further explained that the biggest reason driving her character is only related to the immediate medical crisis. “Libby is coming home to be with her family in a tough situation, and it has really been great to step back into her role and be a Fox again, ” she said.
However, the producers have not announced any long-term plans for a permanent stay. But we would be so happy if she really does return permanently. Meanwhile, do you think she should be brought in as a permanent character on the BBC soap? Let us know in the comments section.
