EastEnders: Lin Blakely Was Invited Back As Pam Coker

The 40th anniversary has brought back many old faces, like Angie Watts and Mickey Miller. Viewers loved seeing them again. Lin shared that she, too, was approached. They wanted Pam Coker back. Then there was Les. Pam thought he was cheating with Claudette Hubbard. But the truth was even more shocking. Les had a female alter ego named Christine. Lin told this story in Matthew Rolland’s Isolation Interviews series. She said casting called her in February. “The guy in casting rang my agent and said, ‘Ask Lin; I want her to come back in for three eps with the hope of maybe coming back in permanently.’”

The timing didn’t work. Lin was about to leave for a trip with a friend.  Lin chose not to cancel on her friend. She thought the team might ask her again when she returned after ten days, but they didn’t. Who knows? You never know in this game, and if I did go back, I’d love it.
