Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seem to have a front row seat when it comes to the “controversy concert.” The Duke and the Duchess find themselves neck deep in controversies one after the other. Not too long ago they were being called out for using the LA fire tragedy for photo ops and PR stunts. Now, the bullying accusations have hampered their image even more.
As we reported earlier, sources have claimed that many of Meghan Markle’s staff had to seek therapy after working with her. Recently, Vanity Fair released a 8000-word feature on Meghan and Harry. Marking exactly 5 years since they left the royal life behind them. The feature is based on rigorous research and months of lengthy interviews with various people who have worked with them.
Many of those former staffers claimed that Meghan treated them rather badly throughout. And they had to ultimately leave for the sake of their sanity. Some even went on to state that they had to seek therapy due to the bad experience they faced. While controversies like these would be terrible to surface at any time, this somehow is the worst possible timing for the couple. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on the verge of launching many major projects, and a vlow to their image at this point is very detrimental.
Meghan is set to launch her own cookery show “With Love, Meghan” on Netflix in March. This sort of negative publicity could really hamper the show’s success and how viewers receive it. Even though Meghan has repeatedly denied the accusations, the label “Duchess Difficult” seems to have stuck to her. Royal Author Tom Bower pointed that Meghan has invested a lot to create a welcoming home-maker image. However, the Vanity Fair “disclosures have poisoned the smiling image.”
He added that the feature portrays Harry as “lost and naive.” But Meghan took the bigger hit. At this point, the couple’s reputation stands badly damaged. But is there something the two can do to turn the narrative around? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more updates on Meghan Markle and other royals. Meanwhile, tell us your views in the comments.
