Meghan Markle has a tough battle ahead of her. 2025 has really started of on a difficult note for the Duchess of Sussex. She has faced backlash and controversies one after the other, and the first month of the year has not even ended. Trying to diffuse the negative publicity and recreate a good image for herself is going to be an uphill battle for her. Sources claim that her public image has taken a huge hit after her former aides made some really explosive revelations.
Recently, Spotify abruptly ended their deal with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Meghan did a series called “Archetypes” on the platform. But Spotify canceled it only after 12 episodes. Vanity Fair recently did a feature on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, where a former staffer of theirs claimed that Meghan was “really, really, really awful” to work for. Furthermore, they also called their experience a “painful” one. Allegedly, some of her staff also had to take therapy to come to terms with their experience.
However, Meghan has relentlessly denied the accusations and has called the stories a smear campaign against her. Additionally, some of of her former staff members also came forward to defend her. Media expert Michael Levine recently told The Mirror US that her “deep struggle following the Vanity Fair exposé highlights the immense pressure of life in the public eye.” Furthermore, he added that navigating fame requires skill and resilience.
It is clear that ever since Harry and Meghan stepped away from the Royal family and left the UK, they have failed to build a positive narrative for themselves. And their public image is only diminishing with every passing day. No matter what they do, the narrative goes against them, making them look worse than before. Another insider has claimed that Meghan is highly unpredictable. That often goes against her.
