Meghan’s Hands-On Engagement With Young STEM Enthusiasts

Many cluster of white tents was set up at the La Brea Tar Pits to receive girls who were visiting the place. Elsewhere, there was one tent placed near the entrance, and it looked like a movie archaeology field station. It was a completely worn wooden desk with a nature painting backdrop. And Meghan Markle arrived there in trousers, a silk blouse and a pair of pave-diamond studs. It was a gift given by Prince Harry.

Elsewhere, Meghan also spoke about how she rode her mother’s bike through the area before doing it independently. She also engaged with the girls inside the tents, asking them about their interests and studies. One girl mentioned her love of languages. Then Meghan proudly shared that even she learns French on Duolingo. She also hit a 90-day streak.

Meghan also clicked pictures with the girls. However, some glanced away as they were self-conscious in front of the camera. And she was standing right in between the girls. She later said, “I don’t know how any woman could see a young girl and not see herself in her, especially at that age.”

When she got married to Prince Harry in 2017, it brought global attention. However, after three years, they decided to step down from royal duties. She also observes her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to see if they are facing challenges. She said, “I hope they see the value of being brave. They saw it when the jam was just a pot on the stove, bubbling.” She also gave credit to her friends Serena Williams and Kelly Zajfen for supporting her. Zajfen had earlier said this about Meghan: “She’s funny. I think maybe that’s surprising to people.”
