Miley’s new smash hit collaboration with Beyoncé on the “II Most Wanted” track has become the fastest hit track on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart this week. Not only this, but the track has also become one of the bestselling country tunes in the US.
While it’s not a surprise for Beyoncé, for Miley Cyrus, “II Most Wanted” has brought another set of happiness. That’s because it became her first top 10 on the chart. Also, the track secured the No. 3 position soon after this launch.
That isn’t shocking, as Miley Cyrus is known for her country music, but collaborating with Beyoncé and outshining other collaborators is quite interesting. Reports further state that Miley’s song has sold 10,720 copies to date.
Surprisingly, “II Most Wanted” is one of three tracks on Beyoncé’s new album Cowboy Carter, which sold almost 10,000 copies in the country, becoming Miley’s highest-rising track.
But it isn’t Miley’s first time securing a place on the Country Digital Song Sales chart. Back in 2010, the Flowers singer made it to the list with her track “The Climb,” which secured the No. 13 position. Last year, Cryus collaborated with her grandmother, Dolly Parton, and reworked “Wrecking Ball,” which also secured the No. 13 place. But her latest smash hit is something different.
While Miley Cyrus is receiving praise and love for her newest release, JoJo Siwa’s latest track has made things different for her. Well, JoJo recently dropped her single “Karma,” but she quickly stirred controversy as many claimed that the track belonged to Miley Cyrus.
The rumor then escalated when TikTok user Adam Barrera resurfaced 2012 tweets from Rock Mafia and Timbaland, hinting they were working on the latest track, Karma, collaborating with Cyrus. While it made things more complicated, it was later revealed that Miley didn’t release the track back in 2011 as she was still working with Disney.
So she couldn’t release the song as it contained the word “b*tch.” Now that things are getting back to normal, JoJo was excited about the comparisons and even stated that she always wanted to be like Miley Cyrus, who is currently enjoying her winning streak.
