The drama follows the recent discovery that Sam had been experiencing psychosis. After loved ones realised something was seriously wrong, the teenager was admitted to hospital so he could receive the professional treatment he needs.
Although Nick is focused on supporting his son, he cannot stop wondering how Sam’s condition went unnoticed for so long. As the reality of the situation sinks in, he becomes increasingly frustrated and starts questioning the people who were around Sam in recent weeks.
That frustration comes to the surface when Nick visits the Bistro with Eva Price. During the visit, Ben Driscoll admits that he recently noticed Sam behaving strangely. However, he also reveals that he did not follow up on his concerns at the time.

Ben’s admission immediately strikes a nerve with Nick. Already struggling with the shock of Sam’s diagnosis, he cannot hide his anger.
