The soap has been witnessing many schedule changes. Most of them are due to the sports coverage. This week also the soap faced a schedule shake-up. ITV has moved the show from tonight’s schedule. The soap fans know that the soap normally airs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday nights. However, the soap wasn’t able to see the episode today. There was no instalment on ITV1 or STV. Furthermore, there was no early release episode on ITVX, STV player or YouTube.

The change occurred due to another live coverage of a match. The channel aired England’s World Cup Qualifier against Serbia. It began at 7 p.m. and was hosted by Mark Pougatch. Ray Keane and Ian Wright provided analysis before the 7:45 p.m. kick-off.

Viewers Outraged!

Elsewhere, the soap fans weren’t sad for the first time. Earlier also the show has also been sacrificed due to live sports coverage. Last month, another international break removed the show from the schedule. Thus, the soap watchers were angry. The soap fans shared their frustration due to the previous shake-up as a result of Football Coverage.

A watcher wrote on social media that ITV could have shown the soap before the match instead of airing 45 minutes of pre-match discussions. Another soap viewer wrote that it was a shame that the soap was pushed aside again due to Football.

They should have let fans watch the episode on ITVX. Meanwhile, the viewers were upset today. They don’t have to wait for long. The soap will be back on Friday at 7:30 p.m. But it will only be a half hour episode with Coronation Street airing at 8 p.m. The fans can watch the early release from 7 a.m. on Friday on ITVX, STV Player, or YouTube.
