Prince Harry is celebrating his 40th birthday this weekend. Speaking about reaching this milestone, Harry said, “I was anxious about 30; I’m excited about 40.” In a statement to the BBC, he emphasised that regardless of age, he remains committed to positively impacting the world.
The Duke of Sussex will celebrate his birthday with his family in California on Sunday and later enjoy a getaway with some of his closest friends. The prince also highlighted the significance of his children in his life.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, the prince reflected on how becoming a father to two kind and funny children had provided him with a new outlook on life and sharpened his focus on his work. He expressed that fatherhood is one of life’s greatest joys.
Over the past decade, the Prince has experienced significant changes. He turned 30 in 2014, shortly after returning from his second tour with the British army in Afghanistan. He also started the Invictus Games when he turned 30. Moreover, just a few months before his big 30, he and Cressida Bonas broke up.
