Prince Harry’s former girlfriend Chelsy Davy has given fans a rare look at her life in Mauritius, where she is raising three children while growing her jewellery business.
The update comes at an interesting time, as a recent documentary claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing growing challenges with their public image and business ventures. Scroll down for more information.
How Chelsy Davy Built A New Life In Mauritius
Chelsy Davy dated Prince Harry on and off for seven years after they met in 2004. Since then, she has moved on and created a very different life for herself. She is now married to hotelier Sam Cutmore-Scott and focuses on her family and business. Last December, Chelsy told The Standard that she and Sam were in the process of moving to Mauritius on a semi-full-time basis.
The couple married on the island in April 2022, and it has become an important part of their family life. On Sunday, Chelsy shared an Instagram reel that showed a typical day in her life. The video followed her during a photoshoot for her fine jewellery brand Aya. It also included sweet moments with her three children, Leo, Chloe and newborn Finn.
The video showed Chelsy working at the beach while keeping a close eye on her children. Dressed in shorts and a white linen shirt, she managed the photoshoot while also caring for baby Finn, who was strapped to her chest during part of the day. One of the highlights of the clip came from her four-year-old son Leo, who narrated parts of the video. He told viewers: “Come spend a day with my mum, while she runs her jewellery business from Mauritius.”

Leo also explained their daily routine. He said that “Finn and my mum get up quite early” before going for a morning walk. After that, Chelsy prepares breakfast for the children and gets Leo and Chloe ready for school. The video later showed Chelsy returning home after work to spend the evening with her family. She wrapped up the day with dinner and bedtime routines for the children.
Harry And Meghan Face More Questions About Their Brand
Chelsy’s post appeared just days after a Channel 5 documentary examined the changing public opinion of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The programme, Harry & Meghan: Has America Had Enough, looked at whether support for the Sussex brand has weakened in recent years.
Royal author Alexander Larman argued that Netflix may have invested too heavily in Harry and Meghan. He said: “Netflix are not a stupid company. But they are beginning to look, very strongly. It’s like they had gambled far too much money on a public appetite for a brand that doesn’t exist.”
He also claimed that many Americans no longer see the couple in the same way. Larman said, “In America, there is this great love and affection for the royal family. But there’s also the sense that Harry and Meghan were not quite the people they thought they were going to be.” The documentary pointed to several moments that may have changed public opinion. One was the 2023 South Park episode, “The World Wide Privacy Tour,” which mocked Harry and Meghan’s calls for privacy while they were promoting Harry’s memoir Spare.

Journalist Emma Loffhagen said, “In America, that was perhaps the first time that that perception had been broadcast in that way. It’s a sign that the tide was turning, and that scathing tone would become more popular.” While Harry and Meghan continue to face questions about their public image, Chelsy Davy is focused on a different path.
