Prince William and Kate Middleton are hitting the headlines as they may move out soon. Sources claim that the royal couple will leave Adelaide Cottage soon due to its small size. Keep reading to find out the place where the Prince and Princess of Wales might shift to.
Prince William And Kate Middleton May Relocate To Fort Belvedere!
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been living with their children at Adelaide Cottage, which is a four-bedroom home in Windsor Castle. It was never meant to be their long-term house as it is smaller, so the couple is thinking of moving to a larger place. They might move to Fort Belvedere, which is a historic Gothic-style mansion in Windsor Great Park. It was built in the 1700s, and Edward VIII lived there. He also signed the abdication papers at the mansion.
Fort Belvedere sits on 59 acres of land and has a pool and a tennis court. It is perfect for Kate and her daughter as they both love tennis. It also has a rose and kitchen garden, stables, two lakes and staff cottages. Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton feel that they have outgrown Adelaide Cottage. Though they are exploring their options, nothing is happening yet. They even considered Royal Lodge, which is a large Windsor Home where Prince Andrew lives. However, he doesn’t want to move out.
The Couple Left Kensington Palace In 2022!
Three years ago, the Prince and Princess of Wales left Kensington Palace and shifted to Adelaide Cottage with Prince George, Princess Louis and Princess Charlotte. They moved just a few weeks before the queen passed away. However, the place was quiet enough for Kate to recover during her treatment last year.
Meanwhile, now they are looking for senior school options for Prince George. They want privacy and a rural setting, so Fort Belvedere will provide them with that. Edward VIII restored it as it is used as a summer tea house by Queen Victoria. He added a pool, a tennis court and a Turkish bath. After he left, the house was empty till 1956. It once had 30 to 40 rooms, but then there were just eight rooms.
Elsewhere in the 1980s, Galen Weston and Hilary leased it. They added a polo stud, and Hilary’s birthday party took place there. Weston’s family still lives there. It is owned by the Crown Estate. Time will tell if the couple leaves the village. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Royal updates!
