William’s Aide Bids Farewell
Our much-loved royal family members have several people helping them plan out their schedules. And one such man is Rob Dixon, who acted as an equerry for Prince William. Lieutenant Commander Dixon has announced that he is stepping down from his post after four years. The dashing royal equerry took to LinkedIn and penned an emotional post as he prepares to bid farewell to the role.
He wrote, “I’ve had the most incredible opportunity to serve in a role that not only challenged me but allowed me to grow, to learn, and to make meaningful contributions alongside a talented and passionate team.” The commander was first appointed to the royal household in 2020 when Prince William and Kate were Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Furthermore, he continued the role until they became Prince and Princess of Wales.
After being with the future King for four years, Dixon is now ready to return to his post in the Royal Navy, as per The Daily Mail. According to sources, the commander has served in the Navy for 24 years and will return to his duties. Equerries—military officers who assist senior royals with public engagements—generally have three-year appointments. Dixon also highlighted several memories from his time working with the royals.

The new equerry for Prince William will be Squadron Leader Mike Reynolds, a helicopter pilot from the Royal Air Force.
