The royal fans know that Prince William and Kate Middleton made a big decision. They decided to leave their Adelaide Cottage and shift to a new place. The Wales couple moved to their fancy new home, Forest Lodge, along with their children. The shift happened on November 5. The move also took place as they wanted to move to a bigger place. Recently, the royal fans took a look at their new house.
Prince William was inside Forest Lodge while filming a video for the Royal British Legion. He shared the video for Armistice Day. The Prince of Wales shared a special message to the schoolchildren across the U.K. The royal followers could see a fancy double door with gold trim, red curtains, soft blue wallpaper, and several artworks, including two grand paintings.
The New Mansion Is Quite Spacious!
Kate Middleton reportedly handled the home’s interior design. The expert Benji Lewis told the Daily Mail that they went for a tasteful and subtle style. He added that the look is very English. It is a grand country house with airy and spacious rooms.
There are also high ceilings and tall windows that let in a lot of natural light. Furthermore, the Perspex plates on the doors help keep the paint clean from grubby fingerprints. There are soft neutral colours like ivory and taupe to create a calm feel.
Meanwhile, the Prince and Princess of Wales have been in Forest Lodge for a few weeks. It is about twice the size of Adelaide Cottage. It is a 328-year-old Georgian mansion. Forest Lodge has eight bedrooms, a ballroom, a tennis court, and many cottages where security and a nanny live.
