Prince William Warned His Brother About Meghan & His Relationship: Royal Expert

Prince William, the Duke of Wales has been concerned about his younger brother, Prince Harry. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been together since 2016; the couple has been through a lot of ups & downs since then.

However, the royal family always had some resistance towards Prince Harry marrying Meghan. As per reports, William had spoken to his younger sibling about it too. Let’s find out the details!

Prince William’s Warning To Prince Harry

The Prince of Wales had warned his brother about Meghan Markle in a rush. A royal commentator, Jennie Bond, spoke to The Sun and recalled when the future King had asked his now estranged brother to think twice about his decision.

Royal family fans know that Prince Harry had revealed that his brother had cautioned him against proposing too quickly. In his bombshell memoir, “Spare,” Prince Harry wrote that William worried that his relationship with Meghan was moving too fast. 

While speaking to the outlet, Jennie said that William’s advice was justified. She said, “He was correct to guide or warn Harry ‘are you sure you’re not going a bit fast’. I think it came from a good place.” The royal commentator highlighted how a long courtship survived the long marriages of the royal family.

For instance the marriage of Sophie and Prince Edward and “that is one of the most delightfully happy marriages in the Royal Family.” Bond also compared Harry and Meghan’s relationship to Kate and William’s gradual romance. She said, “Kate was given ten years to peer into the goldfish bowl of royal life.” 

Even after William had made his brother cautious, he still proposed to Meghan in 2017. Their wedding took place  at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018, and was followed by a reception. Furthermore, in his memoir, Harry also mentioned that the wedding arrangements strained his relationship with his brother.
