One of the most loved items of the royal family is the chocolate biscuit cake. Queen Elizabeth II loved the cake. Former royal chef Darren McGrady said that the chocolate cake was her favourite afternoon tea cake. It was the only dessert sent into the royal dining room again and again.  

Another iconic royal favourite is roast chicken. Prince William loves having roast chicken. Royal biographer Katie Nicholl revealed in Vanity Fair that the Princess of Wales often cooks it in the evenings as it is her husband’s favourite supper. Further sources suggest that the particular meal has been a staple in their home since the early years of marriage.

Draen McGardy added that Queen Elizabeth II loved consuming British strawberries in the summer. She often picked wild strawberries herself at Balmoral.

Meanwhile, barbecues at Balmoral Castle are special family moments accompanied by a relaxed atmosphere. McGardy also said that during the summer holidays in Scotland, the members relax.
