Robert Sugden returned to the village and went to John Sugden and Aaron Dingle’s flat. He told them that he wanted to spend time with his family. But Aaron told him to leave. Robert said that he would be seeing more of him. He started living with Victoria Sugden. But she started noticing his strange behaviour. She got concerned for her brother and confronted him.
Victoria Sugden asked Robert why he didn’t sleep at night. She said that she went to check on him, but his room was empty. He said that he had been having nightmares. He added that they will stop soon and urged her to stop discussing it. Then Robert shared that he was looking for a job, but Victoria told him to move away. But Robert said that it would be difficult and promised to leave Aaron.

Then Robert met Caleb Miligan at the depot. He told him about his services. However, he made him quiet as Cain Dingle had already told him about Robert. However, later he offered him a trial. But John Sugden and Aaron Dingle learned about it. Robert shared his excitement with Victoria, but Victoria was concerned about something else. She said that their previous conversation made her realise that he had messed up his mind. She told him that he had to face his prison nightmares. Victoria told Robert that he was living in his past and had to let it go.
Victoria and Robert decided to celebrate Robert’s new job, so Victoria went to get the supplies. She told him to take a nap as he hadn’t been sleeping well. Robert fell asleep, but he was having a nightmare. When Victoria returned, he got disturbed by the sound of her popping the cork on the champagne bottle. As she tapped his leg to wake him up, he jolted and accidentally hit her on the face. He tried to help her, but Victoria told her to get out of the house.
