The BBC soap guest star Ronni Ancona has opened up about the immense satisfaction of portraying the manipulative villain Bea Pollard. As we know, the actor recently wrapped up her stint on Albert Square that ended in a gripping exit. 

Well, the performer felt honoured to receive the initial television offer for the role. She also laughed that producers saw a deranged and delusional woman as the perfect it. In fact, rather than creating a simple cartoon antagonist, the actor worked hard to bring real depth to the screen.

According to Ronnie, the character genuinely believes that the terrible actions are completely justified, acting like the hero of a private story while everyone else simply blocks a happy ending. She revealed that the filming schedule helped her to maintain intense emotions during the final downfall. 

Ronni revealed that stepping onto the actual set felt surreal after previously doing impressions of the residents for sketch comedy shows years ago. However, the existing cast welcomed her warmly and made the production feel like a supportive family. Later, she also refused to rule out a future return to the Square.

New Star-Studded Cinema Project Follows A Successful Soap Stint

Meanwhile, after leaving the BBC studio behind Ronni is moving straight into several major mainstream projects. In fact, fans can also spot her in a World War II movie called Think of England which releases in cinemas this autumn. 

Another upcoming film titled Fortitude features a brief appearance alongside Hollywood stars Nicolas Cage, Michael Sheen and Sir Ben Kingsley. Also, away from the acting, the star is recording another season of the podcast Hal and Ronni in Pieces with co-host Hal Cruttenden.

Well, Ronnie had a long career making audiences laugh, yet she admits she is shy in real life. Hence, this rules out any future appearances on reality television shows. And Ronnie hopes to continue producing high-quality comedy films to leave a lasting creative legacy.
