Sarah Platt has been trying to stay strong after the frightening attack at the Platt house. But next week on Coronation Street, it becomes clear that she is not coping as well as she wants people to think. With Theo Silverton’s murder case getting more confusing, Sarah reaches out to Kit for support.
Sarah Reaches Out As The Murder Case Grows More Confusing
Things become more desperate for Sarah Platt in next week’s episodes, as she tries to contact Kit Green. Kit has left the cobbles for now, but Sarah clearly wants him back as everything around Theo Silverton’s murder continues to get more complicated.
Since Theo’s death, the case has become harder to understand. Six official suspects have been confirmed, including Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, and Summer Spellman. However, the list of possible suspects does not end there.
Christina Boyd has also raised questions after it was revealed that she had been lying about where she was on the night Theo died. Theo’s ex-wife Danielle has also been named as a possible contender, which adds even more tension to the mystery.
At the same time, Sarah has been dealing with her own painful experience from that same night. She was attacked at the Platt house after someone hit her on the back of the head and knocked her unconscious. While everyone is focused on Theo’s murder, Sarah is still trying to deal with what happened to her.
Sarah Struggles While Kit Is Away in Coronation Street
The attack has clearly affected Sarah. She has been trying to carry on, but she is also struggling at work. Carla Connor notices that Sarah is not herself and suggests that she should take some time away from the Underworld factory.
New scenes airing on Monday, 25 May and Tuesday, 26 May show Sarah trying to reach Kit. His absence comes at a very difficult time, especially because he had recently found an important clue in Theo’s murder case.
Kit had spotted Summer in Lisa and Carla’s wedding photos wearing a brooch. That same brooch was later found covered in blood at Theo and Todd’s flat. This discovery made Summer his “prime suspect” and pushed the investigation in a new direction.
However, Kit was not there when Summer was questioned, as he had gone to Wales on a secondment. With Kit away, attention now seems to be on Summer, George, and Christina as the case continues to unfold.
Sarah Leaves Kit A Message
Meanwhile, George and Christina try to fix things with Todd, but Todd is not interested. Todd also has another failed attempt to make peace with Mary Taylor. After that, he announces that he will be moving in with Sarah. After this, Sarah calls Kit and leaves him a message. She tells him that Todd will be staying with her for a few days. She also tells Kit to hurry home because she misses him.
An inside source told Digital Spy: “Sarah is struggling after being attacked at the Platt house on the night of Theo’s death. She’s been putting on a brave face, but the incident still seems to be troubling her. “It’s not the best time for Kit to have disappeared on a secondment, but he has no idea how much she’s struggling. Will he respond to her cry for company?”
