Chris Bisson And Claire King Were A Part Of Corrie!
Emmerdale and Coronation Street merged earlier this month. ITV aired a special hour-long episode called Corriedale, which led to a terrifying crash. Multi vehicle pile up occurred, and many characters from both soaps were injured.
It changed the lives of many people forever. Elsewhere in a particular scene, Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald, was surprised to recognise rival soap’s Jai Sharma, played by Chris Bisson.
When Steve went towards the ambulance, he saw Jai Shama, who was stuck in traffic. Steve was stunned and said no. Then his partner, Cassie Plumber, asked if he was okay. Steve said that he thought that he had seen somebody he used to work with. Thu,s the clever scene pointed at Chris’s past in Corrie. He played Vikram Desai from 1999 to 2000.
Meanwhile, many other actors have been a part of both soaps. Claire King, who plays Kim Tate, entered the Dales in 1989. She is a soap legend and the true matriarch of Home Farm. However, she took a break from the soap between 1999 and 2018.
Many Stars Jumped Between Corrie And Emmerdale!
During that time, she joined Corrie as Erica Holroyd. She played the role from 2014 to 2017. Another star is Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny Connor on the cobbles. She joined the soap in 1986. But she played Sandra Briggs from 2005 to 2006 in the Dales.
Elsewhere, Daniel Brocklebank, who played Billy and died in the crossover episode, also made an appearance in the Dales. The soap star played Ivan Jones in the soap from 2005 to 2006. Rebecca Sarker, who plays Manpreet, first arrived in 2018. However, she was also seen as Nita Desai in Coronation Street. Furthermore, Paula Lane, known for her character Ella, was a part of Corrie too. She played Kylie Platt from 2010 to 2016.
Serial killer John Sugden, played by Oliver, entered the soap in 2024. But Victoria killed him last year.
