Taylor Swift proved her dedication to her fans yet again! The pop queen stopped her recent Eras Tour show to ensure someone in the crowd received help. During her concert in Edinburgh, Scotland, on June 7, Swift paused her surprise song set — a mashup of “Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve” and “I Know Places.” She signaled out loud that an audience member needed assistance. According to social media footage, nobody came out to help the fan for some time. That’s when Taylor made it clear that the show wouldn’t go on until they were helped. The Bad Blood singer strummed her guitar and sang to ask for help. The lyrics were, “She’s right there. I’m just gonna keep playing until somebody helps them, I’m gonna be singing this song.” Moreover, she warned the management that she’d keep talking about it until somebody responded to her request. “
Just let me know. I can do this all night,” she added, growing increasingly frustrated. Thankfully, someone finally spotted the fan in need! The 31-year-old singer yelled, “We’re good? Awesome!” before jumping right back into her performance. Furthermore, the Grammy-award-winning singer remained vigilant about fan safety throughout her tour. Before hitting international markets, the concert sold an estimated 4.35 million tickets across North America, Argentina, and Brazil.
Typically, the “Cruel Summer” singer has no problem stopping the show for safety. Back in May 2023, Taylor interrupted “Bad Blood” during her 1989 set to yell at a security guard harassing a concertgoer. In another incident, she focused on keeping her Brazilian fans hydrated during an intense heat wave. Sadly, a fan named Ana Clara Benavides died from heat exhaustion before one of the shows. She helped her fans by pointing to a section of the crowd at the Evermore set.
Swift urged, “There are people that need water right here, maybe 30, 35, 40 feet back.” Following Benavides’ death, an insider told US Weekly that the pop icon was “beside herself” over the loss. Additionally, Taylor’s team contacted Clara’s family, and the singer was “grateful” to have her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, there for support.
