Many The Bold and The Beautiful fans still fondly remember the Avants from back a few years ago. They were indeed a great addition to the CBS soap. It is definitely a bit sucky that we don’t see them anymore. However, some exciting news has just arrived for B&B fans who adored Julius Avant , played by Obba Babatundé.
The Bold and The Beautiful alum first appeared on the soap in 2015, and was last seen in 2020. But now, the charming actor could walk through The Gates again! Quite literally! We recently reported that fascinating news of CBS’ all new upcoming drama – The Gates, that is set to premiere in January 2025.
Turns out, Obba Babatundé could be well on his way to join the cast! The Gates is centered around a black wealthy family that resides in an upscale and lavish gated community. Honestly, Obba would fit right in as part of that family, no? Well, this could just turn into reality anytime soon!
Recently, The Bold and The Beautiful alum took to his official X account to share a throwback image. “Tis the season and I am reminded of how 8 years ago today I was recognized for my work on @BandB_CBS and I am just as proud today as I was the evening I took this photo,” he wrote.
Now, on the surface it looks like a normal walk down memory lane. But what actually serves as a big giveaway is the little conversation he had with Michele Val Jean in the comments section. For the unversed, she is the writer for The Gates, and was also part of B&B previously.
She commented on his post recalling what a “great night” it was. The Bold and The Beautiful alum was quick to add that she was there with him when it happened, “now together we have a chance to once again make magic,” Obba wrote!
Those dots literally are connecting themselves. However, there is no official confirmation for this from the makers of the actors. So we’ll have to wait for one before we get super excited about seeing him on daytime again!
