The B&B star added, “I think she (Taylor) feels like she’s missed out on being a support system for her.” But hold up —there’s another reason for Taylor’s return that adds a new layer to the story. Budig also touched on Taylor’s deep bond with Ridge: “She feels a deep bond with him.” Furthermore, she revealed, “They share children together, and I think he’s the love of her life.”
So, Rebecca believes her character seeks familiarity as she ages. Despite this intense connection, Taylor’s return isn’t meant to reignite the old love triangle between her, Ridge, and Brooke. Budig clarified that Taylor’s feelings for Ridge are more about friendship and support than romantic pursuit. “Taylor loves Ridge. They’re great friends,” Budig noted.
