Jermaine Rivers may be new to The Young and the Restless, but he’s already making waves. The actor used to be a military veteran and has served in the army for 20 years. He recently gave fans a little sneak peek into his life – courtesy of CBS’s fun “Fast Five” segment. The new star was born in Vicenza, Italy and now he is bringing that international charm to GC.
And now, let’s talk about his on-screen character, Damian Kane. As per Jermaine, Damian is cool, calculating, and mysterious. The actor is looking forward to sharing scenes with soap legends Peter Bergman (Jack) and Eric Braeden (Victor). This means we could soon see Damian getting tangled in some power plays with the OG gangsters of CBS soap. He also highlighted that this character is about to shake things up using a ‘little trickery.’
Rivers is no stranger to Y&R. In fact, he grew up watching the show because of his mom, who is a huge fan. He recently admitted that his familiarity with the CBS soap is all thanks to her. The actor is definitely new to daytime but is no stranger to soaps or soapy drama! Fans might recognise him as Shatter from The Gifted, the Marvel superhero.
From Queen Sugar to Our Kind of People, Dynasty, The Haves and the Have Nots, and Devious Maids, Rivers has proven he can handle all that soap drama includes.
