The Young and the Restless has brought in two iconic people back to the mix in Genoa City- Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian. While Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian had been on the screen a little while ago, they are now preparing to get back to the soap as Danny and Christine, all over again.
Lauralee first appeared on Y&R as Christine, aka Cricket, in 1983, and soon her character crossed paths with the rockstar. Yep, we’re talking about Michael Damian’s Danny. Y&R’s Danny and Christine were so in love that soon after coming together, they went onto have a beautiful Hawaiian wedding. Sadly, love alone couldn’t hold their marriage from falling apart, so they eventually went their separate ways. Much to our grief, they even married other people but chose to remain friends. However, now Danny and Christine have rekindled their romance with Bell believing their breakup was never what they wanted.

She explained, “The world just kind of put them in that situation, and then their lives grew apart.” But the feelings were always there, and now they are enjoying a second chance at love. Meanwhile, viewers know that Christine and Danny have been off-screen for a while. The duo has been travelling the world together after Christine accompanied Danny on his band’s global tour. The soap actress jokes about how trendy it is to follow your rock star boyfriend around.
Girls love to “wait on the sides to get hugs when they come off stage.” Furthermore, Lauralee reveals how her character is happy with her decision to be with Danny. According to Bell, they’re having the time of their lives rediscovering each other and exploring new spots. However, Bell and Damian are expected to come back to the studio soon to shoot a special storyline for their characters.
The CBS soap diva teases that the storyline airing in July will be a new experience for Danny and Christine. Bell doesn’t know all the details but she loves the idea and thinks it fits perfectly with their current plotline. And she’s not alone in thinking this way! Damian is also on board with the concept. Subsequently, both actors are eager to dive into this new chapter. The Y&R fame added, “We have faith in the creative process and know that the idea is really fun.
Moreover, when Danny and Christine return, their happy relationship will likely shake things up with Danny’s ex-wife, Phyllis. Bell predicts, “She (Phyllis) either forgets about us because she’s a very ‘out of sight, out of mind’ person.” Or she would become even more irritated by their globe-trotting romance. The actress concludes, “Either way, she will always be unpredictable.”
