The Young and The Restless Star Jordi Vilasuso Finally Returns To The Screen

It has been ions since we last saw Jordi Vilasuso as Rey Rosales on The Young and The Restless. It was truly heartbreaking to watch his passing playout on the screen. He was one of those rare guys on soaps that are actually positive and spotless out and out. Yet, that wasn’t enough to keep him on the sap for longer than he stayed.

However, Jordi fans, there is nothing to worry about anymore! The Young and The Restless former is all set to return to the Soapverse. While his “proper” death ensured that he couldn’t return to Y&R as Rey anymore, we still get to watch him as a different character on a different soap! Jordi Vilasuso is all set to enter as Justin Ramos on the digital soap The Bay.

“Everybody’s really excited for me to be back on a show”, Jordi quipped in a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest. Furthermore, he also gushed that it is going to feel amazing to be on the set again. In his chat, The Young and The Restless actor also reflected on his journey as Rey Rosales on Y&R, he divulged that he was caught off guard when he was written off.

The actor admitted that even though he had been on soaps for a long while, ( on Guiding Light, All My Children, and Days of Our Lives) he still didn’t see it coming. ” I should have read the writing on the wall, because once you’re the only one of a [soap] family left, your days are numbered,” he pointed.

However, with time The Young and the Restless alum has learnt to take these things in stride. He shrugged that after all these are just gigs, and if one comes to an end you must move on to the next. Speaking of his next stint as Justin Ramos, Jordi described him as “an ambitious businessman.”

The Young and The Restless former is really excited for his new role as he feels he hasn’t done anything like that before. He has played doctors and cops, but nothing like Justin. “He’s a good guy who gets entangled with one of the richest families in town,” he points. Well, going by how thrilled Jordi is, we can’t actually wait to see what he brings to the screen!
